TRAINING DOCUMENTATION |
We have been involved in education and training for
the last eighteen years and we are still learning! We have certainly grown in knowledge ourselves,
but are especially pleased that we have helped to grow the knowledge of
others. |
Our track record... |
We have covered the training spectrum from formal
secondary teaching to artisan training to rigorously specified military training
courses to short courses to formal tertiary education. Our customers for instructional design and training
documentation include the Mangosuthu University of Technology, Carl Zeiss
South Africa, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, the University of
Cape Town, the South African Navy, the homeschool community, Reutech, the
National Ports Authority, Denel Land Systems, Saab Avitronics and Tellumat. |
Our methods... |
By preference we focus on content development and support
to the teachers/trainers rather than actual course delivery. Whilst we have demonstrated our ability to
follow a variety of training specifications in the past, we enjoy the
challenge of leaving familiar territory.
We have certainly had to be innovative. Probably our most enjoyable training
projects were to develop a cartoon-style Physics course for artisans and
train harbourmasters on docking procedures – both surprisingly difficult. We draw on our tools and experience and on material
which our customers have available or we create to deliver training optimised
to deliver skills needed to get the job done. |
Our tools... |
We use commonly available tools (Microsoft,
OpenOffice, wiki’s and LaTeX) and have worked with edulex.com and R&M Technologies
using their VirtualBook® and RAMLOG.net to facilitate online delivery of
training material. |
